Some New Cards Finally!!

I know it has been a while. The family and I were off for a week for Spring Break. The first time I sat down to stamp, The clutter in Britney's room was just killing my mojo so I had to pick up in her room. See my desk and stamping stuff is currently in a part of her room. When I sat down again, I had to organize and clean my desk off next. Well, I tried and tried to get something done but just couldn't.

I had long weekend off for Easter. All day Friday and most of the Sunday, I stamped and made cards. I think I counted 12!! WOW!! I made some Easter, birthday, thank you and just because cards. I will post them below. But of course since then I haven't done anything.

Tonight after I post these pictures, I will be on my way to April's to help her cut out her stamps. We have decided if she gets them cut out and mounted, she will finally use all the stuff she has bought from me and make some cards!! Then she can stop buying cards at the store. I am sure her family and friends will enjoy receiving hand made cards from her.

Well, here are my cards.....

This card uses the Sale-A-Bration stamp set called Birthday Whimsey. I used close to cocoa cardstock and embossed the cake with iridescent ice powder. So it is sparkly but you can't tell from the pic. I also used liquid applique and heated it up so it would give a puffy look of icing. The white cardstock was put through the cuttlebug and dry embossed.

This card was very simple. It is on white natural cardstock and I used a $1 stamp from Michaels that I picked a while ago. Then I used my markers to color the flowers and grass. I also added stickles to it to give it a little bling.

I used an old hostess set from the previous stampin up catalog. I don't know the name off hand. I also used the prints background stamp. I love background stamps!! For the cardstock I used chocolate chip and regal rose. I colored in the flowers with markers and off course added stickles for the bling. I did some sponging on the edges of the cardstock.

This is basically the same supplies as the last card but just a different layout.

Used the prints background again but with a different color and also the alphabet soup stamp set that is retired. Used some silk chocolate chip ribbon. Oh, and I pierced along the edges of the blue paper.

Here is another card using the birthday whimsey set, with some close to cocoa cardstock, double sided decorative paper and chocolate chip ribbon. Used my scallop punch to create the icing and another punch to make the flower.

Here is one of the Easter cards I made using the Good Egg stamp set. I didn't buy this my first go around and then I found all these cute cards surfing the web and I had to buy it!! I need to stay off these blogs and websites.

This is the second card with the Good Egg stamp set. I made the strip with flowers by stamping with a stamp multiple times, colored them in and added stickles. I just can't stay away from the glitter. I also stamped his little eggshell on blue cardstock and stamped it and cut it out and glued it over the original stamped image. This is called paper piecing.

Here is the third card I made with the Good Egg set. I cased this card from the Spring - Summer 2008 Stampin' Up Catalog. Great book to get great ideas!! DOn't forget to utilize it!! It is NOT "JUST A CATALOG"!! This was paper pieced together. I did a faux ribbon with the yellow cardstock and my white signo gel pen. I just love this pen. It is great to creat faux stitching too!!

This is using another favorite stamp set, Baroque Motifs and another Sale-A-Bration set called Lots of Words. Very, very simple card. Everything is Stampin Up! Well, except for the stickles again!!

Another card with the Birthday Whimsey, but in pink.

This is the stamp set, Spring Solitude, which is a current Level 2 Hostess set in the SU! catalog. I cased this from another stamper, I can't recall the name at this minute. I only changed the saying on the front because I did not have the stamp she used!! Can you believe that?!?! Not have that set. LOL!!

Well, this is it for now. I have got to get on my way to help April out. And it may be "April" before I post another entry to this blog. But that is only a few days away. Another weekend is on its way!! YEAH!!

Until next time.....

Happy Stamping!!
